About The Academy

The main objective of Leon Paul Academy is to prepare future generations for the Leon Paul Project. The Leon Paul Academy is currently open for applications from 8-14 years old youth sabreurs whose goal it is to develop to their full potential as fencers.

 

What do you get?

The Leon Paul Academy sessions provide structured warm-ups, footwork, pairs exercises, individual lessons and youth-specific fencing agility as well as age-appropriate strength and conditioning. With an emphasis on activity relevant to the individual, The Leon Paul Academy is designed to instil and develop rigorous training habits to prepare fencers for progression to the highest level of the competitive sport.

The Staff

Leon Paul Academy is coached by Leon Paul Project coaches have all experienced the sport as internationally competitive fencers. With the Academy, They are now bringing their expertise to the fencers aged under 14.

Training Schedule

We currently offer group training sessions to academy fencers 2 days a week. These two Academy sessions per week are coached by our Project coaches. Session times may change as required depending on the stage of the season and to fit in with fencers’ competition cycles. Please keep updated with the Leon Paul Staff for actual session times.

 

Facilities

The Leon Paul Fencing Centre is a state-of-the-art fencing facility, built in 2013, that uses many technologies developed for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The home of the LP Project, the Fencing Centre boasts 24 pistes, an S&C suite, onsite physio, an athlete breakout space for Project fencers as well as Project offices, meeting rooms, and the Leon Paul Shop and factory.
